The Truth About Alcohol
The Truth About Alcohol: A Spirit That Steals Your Mind and Soul
We live in a world where one of the most destructive substances is not only legal, but glamorized, normalized, and celebrated. Alcohol is woven into every social event, every holiday, and every commercial. But the deeper I’ve gone into clean living, the clearer I see: alcohol is not here to empower us it's here to control us.
Let’s be honest. Alcohol makes people more passive, easier to manipulate, and sicker over time. It weakens the liver, clouds the mind, damages the gut, disrupts hormones, and impairs the body's ability to detox. It’s no accident that something so harmful is sold on every corner while natural healing herbs are restricted or buried.
The government doesn’t push alcohol because it’s harmless they push it because it keeps people weak. If the majority of the population is numbed out, emotionally unstable, chemically dependent, and spiritually disconnected, they’re far less likely to rise up, ask questions, or change the system. Alcohol is legal because it’s useful not to us, but to the people in power.

The Name Says It All: “Alcohol” as a Spirit
The word alcohol has ancient roots. It comes from the Arabic term “al-kuḥl”, which originally referred to a fine black powder used around the eyes (kohl), but evolved in alchemical texts to mean a "body-eating spirit." In Middle Eastern tradition, alcohol was seen as something that extracted the soul or essence from things.
Even today, when you walk into a liquor store, you’ll see the word "spirits" used to describe distilled alcohol. There’s a reason for that. Ancient cultures believed that when you drink alcohol, a disembodied spirit could "enter" you. Whether you take that literally or metaphorically think about how people say, “That wasn’t me,” or “I don’t remember what I did,” after a night of drinking.
That’s because it wasn’t you.
Alcohol hijacks the brain and nervous system. It lowers your vibration. It opens the door to behavior you would never choose in a sober state. It dims the light of who you really are and replaces it with something else. That is the real reason it’s called a spirit.

The Spiritual Consequences No One Talks About
Alcohol doesn’t just harm the body it disconnects you from your intuition, your clarity, and your higher self. It numbs the nervous system so you don’t feel what needs to be healed. It blocks your ability to feel fully present. And it invites in regret, shame, and trauma that compound over time.
I know this not just from research but from experience. I’ve lived it. I’ve walked the path of numbing, blacking out, and waking up with pieces missing. And I’ve also walked the road of recovery, clarity, and healing.
When I stopped drinking, everything changed. I began to hear myself again. I began to feel again. And in that rawness came truth, the truth that alcohol is not something we need to cope. It's something designed to keep us from ever healing at all.

We Are Energy: Frequency and Vibration Matter
Everything in this universe is energy and that includes us. Our bodies, our thoughts, our emotions, and even the foods and substances we consume all carry a vibrational frequency.
When we are aligned with health, truth, love, and clarity, we vibrate at a high frequency. That’s when we feel most connected to our purpose and our Higher Power. But alcohol is a low-vibration substance. It drags us down emotionally, physically, and spiritually. It makes it harder to manifest, harder to heal, harder to feel joy or peace.
If we want to show up fully as parents, partners, leaders, and lightworkers we have to protect our energy. We have to operate at our highest capacity, which means being clear, grounded, and aligned. Sobriety isn’t just about not drinking it’s about elevating your vibration so you can live fully awake and fully empowered.

A Natural Ally for Recovery: Milk Thistle
As I began to heal, I leaned into nature. One of the most powerful herbs that supported me was milk thistle a gentle yet potent liver healer that helps the body detoxify and regenerate. Milk thistle contains a compound called silymarin, which protects and rebuilds liver cells, supports bile flow, and boosts the body’s natural ability to flush out toxins.
Whether you’re newly sober or just cutting back, milk thistle is a beautiful herb to introduce into your routine as a tea, tincture, or capsule. It’s a reminder that your body wants to heal. All it needs is your commitment and the right tools.

You Don’t Need Another Drink / You Need Your Power Back
The system thrives when we’re disconnected from ourselves. But healing starts the moment you say: enough.
We don’t need another drink. We need our power back our clarity, our energy, our truth. And that kind of freedom doesn’t come in a bottle.
It comes from within from our connection to our Higher Power.
If you're reading this and struggling to let go of alcohol, know that you're not alone and you don’t have to do it alone. There is no shame in reaching out for support. Programs like AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) or Al-Anon (for those affected by someone else’s drinking) offer powerful communities and spiritual tools that help countless people find freedom.
If you need more structured help, rehab centers, addiction therapists, and sober living programs can be life saving and life changing. Even one phone call or one meeting can be the beginning of a brand-new chapter. You are not alone.
